I want to send out a thank you to everyone that got me through 2017. There is much debate about whether it's appropriate for Christians to use Facebook, Twitter, etc. Y'all know what I mean. Christians are always searching for the "Christian alternative too.."
For me the question is am I using the technology that God has provided appropriately? Yes God says that we are to support fellow Christians. I get that. I do that as I can, and I often ask y'all to do that for me.
What I plan to do in 2018, and beyond, is to use to technology, tools, books, resources, that God has literally, gifted me with in order to help build His kingdom. My outlook is one day at a time.
Finish that days race well, then if I wake up the next morning, do my best to finish that day. It seems simple enough, but I can tell you, that's a hard task. There's many a day I have to draw from all God has provided, just to get through twenty-four hours.
My goal is to end each day with a, "Thanks God for helping me," then a smile and a wave. Many times I'm shaking my head, praying, taking things apart, putting them back together just to get a post like this out.
I'm fortunate in that I have a laptop that's around ten years old, and a desktop that's a bit newer. So when the laptop crashes, I can go the desktop, and so forth and so on. It's kind'a fun actually.
What I remember though is everything I have, has been supplied by God, through a community of great Christians, He has put around me. As a man walking around on earth, I mess a bunch of stuff up and get myself in trouble.
I'm thankful I manage to keep one good hand that I can stick up out of the hole I'm in, whistle (pray), and say "God I'm over here today. I fell in another dadgum hole. I wish You'd hire somebody to fill all these in."
You know, when we look up, we run into stuff. When we we look down, we run into stuff. It's only when we look straight ahead that we can see where we're goin' and what's coming. Then, sometimes we turn around and run from what we see, or jump to the side, and fall in a hole. The one constant is God.
There have I cleared everything up for y'all? That's why I like to write stories. You can bring them to an end. I know, the kind of writing I'm doing right now goes from episode to episode, but there is an end. It's somewhere in the back of my mind chugalugging to the front.
Read one of my stories, and tell somebody else to read them. Reading is a great thing. You can tell folks, "I'm reading this right now," when they ask you to do something. Most of them will say, "well, Okay when you get done reading that, could you please?" Hope y'all's day treated you well.
