The children of whom they speak are commenting on such issues as immigration and gay rights. They stand in front of the camera and with wide, imploring eyes they deliver a message that is truly genuine and from their heart. It usually goes something like this, "We must be more caring, as a country, as a people and let all the refugee's into the country." or, "I don't understand why they, the adults, are fighting over bathrooms. We must be more accepting and loving."
Of course, we would hope that our children have tender hearts. I believe that tenderness should be encouraged to grow within them throughout their lives. I know by studying God's Word that as we mature and gain knowledge He not only wants us to be wise, and able to make proper decisions, He also wants us to apply tenderness and hope in the making of those those decisions and to do what is right in the eyes of God.
In reality, what's happening is that our leaders are gushing over the words of these tender-hearted children, without considering they do not have the knowledge or the wisdom needed to make the proper decision about these issues.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that has studied God's Word. Notice I said, "...studied," not just, "have read the Bible." In Isaiah Chapter Three we see the statement regarding God's judgement on Jerusalem and Judah. In particular verse four which addresses the abdication of our current leaders in giving way to the words of these children. A prophecy it seems that is playing out right here, right now, in the United States.
Isaiah Chapter 3:1-4
"1 See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support:all supplies of food and all supplies of water, 2 the hero and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder, 3 the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor, skilled craftsman and clever enchanter. 4 I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.”
What I have to say now is only for Christians, for the church. Anyone that is not such should not be expected to read, understand and apply scripture. Okay here goes. WAKE UP CHURCH. READ YOUR BIBLE, PRAY FOR UNDERSTANDING AND FOLLOW GOD'S LEADING! Or just keep smiling and saying, "Oh, what adorable children."
